Mark Zuckerberg – $19.1K, Honda Fit

The Facebook co-founder is the 5th richest man in the world. And like most men in that wealth bracket, he is particular about preserving his wealth, not flaunting it. At least you can tell with one of the cars he prefers to drive around, a Honda Fit.

Mark has said that he wants his children to live a normal and disciplined life, so that might contribute to why he mostly sticks to simple SUVs and sedans. The Honda reportedly cost about $19,110, and Mark is currently worth up to $119.7 billion. It’s almost as if the more you have, the less you want to spend.

Bill Gates – $225K, Porsche 959

Unlike several of his counterparts, the world’s most iconic businessman had a somewhat rebellious streak in him. Few billionaires got into trouble with the US government as Bill Gates did. There were full-blown business violation incidents, but perhaps one of his pettiest fights was over his famous Porsche 959.

In 1986, after it was announced as the most advanced supercar of its time, Gates tried to smuggle the Porsche into the United States because it didn’t meet the country’s safety laws. It immediately got impounded at customs, though. Gates fought stubbornly but only got the car, which he reportedly bought for $225,000, after over ten years.

Warren Buffett – $45K, Cadillac XTS

Regarded as one of the most successful investors of all time, Warren Buffett is known for how much money he makes and how much he doesn’t like to spend it. He is worth up to $110 billion and is currently the world’s sixth richest man, but he could only be bothered to buy a $45k Cadillac.

In truth, he only bought it because his daughter persuaded him to, as he preferred to stay with the cheap auto he’s managed for years. He doesn’t plan to hold onto his vast wealth forever, though. He has promised to donate over 99% of his wealth, giving more than $41 million to charity.
