Surely Michelle West qualifies if the word overachiever could accurately describe any golfer. Because by age 10, she made history by being the youngest qualifier for a USGA championship. Not resting on her oars, she turned pro before her 16th birthday earning endorsement deals from “Nike” and “Sony.”
While West has achieved five LPGA Tour wins to date, including the 2018 HSBC Women’s World Championship. However, her 2014 U.S. Women’s Open remains her only major championship. That same year, she clinched the Rolex Annika Major Award. West is married and, in 2020, welcomed her daughter.
