Les Hiddins – Undisclosed Annual Salary
Les Hiddins didn’t just join the army for posturing and posing. He actually went to war and did a tour in Vietnam in the ’60s. But he didn’t come back with lousy karate like John Kreese in Karate Kid. Instead, he came back with a plethora of knowledge and an idea for a TV show.
That show was The Bush Tucker Man, with Hiddins going around in a Land Rover Perentie finding and describing Australian bush food. The show had many spinoffs, including Bush Tucker Man: Stories of Exploration and Survival. In 2019, after some time out of the spotlight, he started a website dedicated to the Australian outback.
