Peter Overton – $72K
Peter Overton is a newsreader and TV journalist who is also the son of a professor of anesthesia, Dr. John Overton. However, he chose the media path and joined Seven Network in the ’80s, working as a sports reporter well into the ’90s. But it was when he moved to Nine Network that his star rose.
He joined them as a news reporter for Nine News but soon moved into his comfort zone as a weekend sports presenter. He was also instrumental in helping Nine News Sydney get back to the top of TV ratings and appeared as himself in The Tunnel and Pacific Rim Uprising.
