Grace Slick Leading The Pack
Grace Slick established a name on her own, yet her time with the American rock band Jefferson Airplane remained iconic. Their appearance at Woodstock is mostly remembered for performing a heavy dose of morning maniac music. They opened with their rendition of Fred Neil’s “The Other Side of This Life.”
They went on to sing one of their biggest hits as a group, “Somebody to Love.” Having to wait all night for their turn to shine, we would like to assume their energy strengthened overnight. Being one of the pioneering groups in psychedelic rock, the band also appeared at the Monterey Pop Festival and Isle of Wight Festival, among others.
