Bob Dylan Was Once In A Band
A musical icon in the ’60s, Bob Dylan, gave birth to the classics “Blowin’ in the Wind” and “The Times They Are a-Changin’,” which became anthems for civil rights and anti-war movements. Regarded as one of the greatest songwriters in history, he often wrote music about political, social, philosophical, and literary concepts.
With these recognitions, his presence at Woodstock was highly anticipated. Together with his former backing band, “The Band,” they were advertised heavily for the festival. Much to the people’s excitement, Dylan encountered a motorcycle accident which left him unable to show up. Despite such misfortune, “The Band” continued the show and was welcomed with warm reception.
