Fringing My Way Up

Fringed clothing peaked in the ’60s, but it originally had its roots in the ’20s. It became a decorative fashion embellishment decorated with edges of hanging threads, strips, and cords from leather or suede garments. When it came back as a trend in the ’60s, public figures like Jimmy Hendrix increased its popularity.

We assume this lady was a fan of either Hendrix or the style trend itself. Either way, she looked like she was having the time of her life while jiving to Woodstock music. After all, knowing what to wear increases any person’s sense of freedom, confidence, and independence- which happened to be three important things in the festival.
