Country Joe and the Fish: Glory Days

The psychedelic rock band Country Joe and the Fish was at its peak when they showed up at Woodstock. They were among the most influential groups in California during the mid to late ’60s. A huge part of the reason is that they focus their songs on the issue of counterculture, anti-war, love, and freedom.

These are some of the topics that the event focused on, so their presence on stage was highly anticipated. Even if things didn’t go as smoothly because of the rain, the band went on to perform some of their most famous classics, “Love,” “Silver and Gold,” and the crowd favorite “The Love Machine.”
