Although born in Canada, Jim Carrey found success in Hollywood thanks to his distinct brand of slapstick comedy. Over the years, he’s proven to be a certified box office draw, as the films The Mask and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective demonstrated. In fact, he was actually among the first actors to receive a $20 million paycheck for a movie.
He continued to enjoy similar paydays for multiple movies. So, his current rate may still be somewhere around that ballpark. He’s set to star next in the upcoming Sonic The Hedgehog 2 movie scheduled for 2022.
