Stephanie Twell and Joe Morwood
In 2019, British marathoner Stephanie Twell and her husband Joe Morwood laced up their running shoes to break a unique record. Running side by side and with fingers intertwined, they broke the Guinness World Record for the fastest hand-holding mile by 34 seconds at the London Marathon.
Years later, the athletic pair are still happily married and running—Twell, at least. The five-time British champ in the 5,000-meter is currently in Tokyo to compete in the ultimate endurance test. She will race in the women’s marathon scheduled in August 2021.
