Rory McIlroy and Erica Stoll
It looks like the world of golf is smaller than we thought! Although from different countries, Irish professional golfer Rory McIlroy met his American wife Erica Stoll in 2012 thanks to the PGA, for which she used to work. They began dating a few years later.
The couple wed in Ashford Castle, one of Ireland’s finest 5-star hotels, in 2017 and is still happily married. Their marriage is not without challenges, though. Due to McIlroy’s busy schedule as a pro golfer, he’s often away from his wife and their daughter. As of July 2021, he’s competing at the ongoing The Open Championship in England.
