As mixed bags go, Melvyn Hayes had a pretty big one in terms of his career. He is most notable for his role in the ’70s sitcom. It Ain’t Half Hot Mum, playing Gloria Beaumont. He also featured in the musicals The Young Ones, Summer Holiday, Wonderful Life, all starring Sir Cliff Richard.

Before those roles, he had notable parts in The Curse of Frankenstein, playing the young Victor Frankenstein. He also had roles in the action film Operation Amsterdam, and the comedy Bottoms Up. He was last featured in a 2019 episode of the quiz show Pointless Celebrities.
