Alison Owen, 60
As a producer, Alison Owen is quite a big deal, especially considering the iconic shows she made possible, like Shaun of the Dead, Moonlight, and Valentino and The Other Boleyn Girl. That’s not a bad resume for someone who started out producing music videos!
She worked for various companies, including Limelight Records. It was while working there that she produced a film called Hear My Song and a series titled Diary of a Teenage Health Freak. She moved to film production company Working Title where she set up a low-budget film division and has since started her own company called Ruby Films. She currently has eight projects in the pipeline.
