John Rhys-Davies, 77
In the Lord of the Rings, everyone is on about Sir Ian McKellen and Orlando Bloom, and Elijah Wood. But John Rhys-Davies is the real superstar in the cast. He not only played the dwarf king Gimli, son of Gloin, he also voiced the notoriously tedious Treebeard.
Having two roles in one film is nothing new, but the amazing part is that he had the patience to speak so slowly when voicing Tree Beard. He obviously had other roles, too, with parts in the 1993 film The Untouchables, and also did voice work on shows like Gargoyles and SpongeBob SquarePants. He has an upcoming film called Starbright coming in 2021.
