Julian Jarrold, 61
Julian Jarrold is a direct descendant of the Jarrold family that started the Jarrold’s retail store originating in Norwich. He opted to avoid the family business and instead got involved in filmmaking. One of his most noted projects is Great Expectations, a 1999 film adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic novel.
He did a similar thing to the classic English novel Brideshead Revisited and receiving moderately positive reviews as well. Some of his other notable works include a screen adaptation of the play Kinky Boots and the Jane Austen biographical drama, Becoming Jane. He is currently filming a movie called This Sceptred Isle, scheduled for release in 2022.
