Derek Jacobi, 82
Renowned for his forceful, commanding stage presence, Sir Derek Jacobi is an actor renowned for his performances in stage productions. Some of these include William Shakespeare stage productions like Hamlet, Macbeth, Much Ado About Nothing, and King Lear, among others. He is also renowned for his role in Anton Chekov’s Uncle Vanya.
He is a founding member of the Royal National Theatre and also has a distinctive TV resumé. This includes roles in a 1976 adaptation of Robert Graves’s I, Claudius, which earned him a BAFTA Award. He also obtained rave reviews for his performance in the Cadfael series. Jacobi will star in a 2021 film called The Martini Shot.
