Chely Wright and Lauren Blitzer
Chely Wright was a pioneer in the country music industry when she announced she was part of the LGBTQ+ community in 2010. Long before the announcement, Wright struggled to embrace her true identity. As luck would have it, Wright met activist Lauren Blitzer only two weeks after her official coming out.
After dating for a while, Wright and Blitzer, who works in marketing at Sony Music Entertainment, got hitched in a beautiful 200-guest ceremony in 2011 at Blitzer’s aunt’s house in Connecticut. The couple expanded their family by becoming parents in 2013 after welcoming twin sons named George Samuel and Everett Joseph.
