Daughter to famous folks, the late Eric Thompson and Phyllida Law, fame always beckoned for Emma Thompson. While attending Newnham College, she joined the Footlights troupe. Later, collaborations with Kenneth Branagh, her ex-husband, in productions like Dead Again and Peter’s Friends cemented Thompson’s place in showbiz.
She is still at it with scheduled appearances in Cruella, Good Luck you, Leo Grande, and Matilda. Beyond the screen, she found love again while filming Sense and Sensibility. Thompson is happily married to Greg Wise, and they share two children. Also an author, she penned two follow-up books based on the Peter Rabbit tale.
