Ed O’Neill – Football

“Modern Family” star Ed O’Neil was very close to a career in football and was signed as an undrafted free agent to the Pittsburgh Steelers back in the ‘60s, Unfortunately for O’Neil, he was cut during training. He sold cars and worked as a substitute teacher until he made it into the big leagues.

He got his big break in the Broadway show “Knockout” and later starred in projects like “Married… with Children,” “L.A. Dragnet,” and the 2020 film, “The Last Shift.” His most notable project is “Modern Family” in which he was seen from 2009 until 2020.
