Egypt
Despite holding the record for winning the most Africa Cup of Nations trophies, Egypt has hardly ever qualified for the FIFA World Cup. They do hold a few records, though. One of those is being the first African and Arab state to compete in the competition, having played in the second edition in 1934.
They also boast the record for the oldest player to participate in the competition, goalkeeper Essam El-Hadary. Their last appearance was at the 2018 competition, where they lost all of their matches. Despite this, their fans were vocal and continued to show their support, including the beauty in the picture during their final match.
