Mission Accomplished
At the same time, the workers grabbed the snake’s head and upper body tight. In one swift move, the vet rushed to the ground and quickly injected the sedative. It didn’t take effect immediately, so they had to hold on tight as the snake kept wriggling and squirming.
After a short while, its body relaxed, and its muscles gradually went limp. This was the signal that the sedative was taking effect. In response, the volunteers all settled as well and released a breath they didn’t know they had been holding for long. Within moments, the snake was completely sedated.
