Fortunately, the firefighters didn’t need to get the guns out for this one. Neither ladders nor ropes would make their rescue run better than simply using their hands and getting down on the ground. Of course, they still used simple tools like gloves and a blanket for protection.
We imagine having thick gloves on would prevent firefighters from being bitten by the mother if she happened to be in the storm drain, too. Meanwhile, the blanket could serve as a protective layer from the cold ground for the pups, which would be needed to be picked up one by one.
