Michael Hayden Walsh (84) – Corowa, New South Wales
Michael Hayden Walsh is fondly referred to as the King of Australian Daytime television, and it’s all thanks to his famous show “The Mike Walsh Show.” The program premiered in 1973 and for 90 minutes each weekday afternoon until 1984. And much of its popularity came from the numerous local and international guests who graced the show.
After leaving television, Walsh began making a living as a theatre show producer. He owns Her Majesty’s Theatre in Sydney and Hayden Orpheum Picture Palace in Sydney. And Walsh is also the executive producer of successful musicals like “Nunsense,” “Anything Goes,” and “A Chorus Line.”
