Emma Thompson has major acting credits to her name beyond her Oscar-winning performances in Howard’s End and Sense and Sensibility. She also had roles in Nanny McPhee, Love Actually, and the Harry Potter film franchise.

While she spends large amounts of time in America working, Thompson still owns a mansion in West Hampstead, London. She paid $4.46 million for the residential home that nearly suffered damage when a fire started at a neighbor’s house. Thompson is starring in the recently released film Cruella and has been cast as Miss Trunchbull in a remake of Matilda.
