North Korea

The fourth largest army in the world, based on its active human resource, is that of North Korea. With their greatest rivalry being against their neighbor, South Korea, the nation had to build a mass defense and attack organization. Also known as the Korean People’s Army, it first came into existence as the armed wing of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

Having a land border with its adversary, the most extensive section of the military comprises ground units and troops. During the Korean war, it is known that President Stalin of Russia equipped North Korea with modern tanks and artillery during the Korean war, which majorly supported the country.
