South Korea
The military of South Korea is also known as the Republic of Korea Armed Forces. As of 2022, they employed 555K active and 3.14 million reserved people, thereby making it the second largest force among all countries, only behind Vietnam. Even its military budget is a staggering $50.2 billion.
After the liberation of Korea from Japan, two forces were building up in the south and the north of the country. When they clashed, they ended up making the two states, with China and Russia supporting the northern and America supporting the southern. Over the years, as South Korea developed, its army also flourished.
