Peru
With a primary self-defense mission, the Peruvian Armed Forces only last fought a war against their neighboring Ecuador in 1995, ending in a ceasefire. Since then, their military has not been in a major clash. However, they do still have a sizable number of people in it if the need arises.
All of the branches of their forces have been adequately equipped with ground troops, air forces, and the navy. They all report to the Joint Command, which in turn does all the planning and coordination of all military activities. The Joint Command came into existence in 1957 and ultimately reported to the president.
