Trixie Mattel – Age 33
Brian Michael Firkus is known for his drag queen persona of Trixie Mattel. Mattel has established herself as a prominent figure in the drag world after appearing on ”RuPaul’s Drag Race” in 2015; she also has a career as a musician, her albums charting on the BillBoards charts. As a comedian, her special has been nominated for a Critic’s Choice Award.
Firkus in drag includes an overly teased, blonde wig and an exaggerated eye glam. This blonde look is an homage to Barbie dolls produced by the brand Mattel (also honored in his drag name). To help people achieve her look, she launched her beauty brand Trixie Cosmetics in 2018.
Katya Zamolodchikova – Age 40
Brian McCook established his drag personality as Yekaterina Petrovna Zamolodchikova, or the more easily pronounced Katya. She is popular for forming a duo with Trixie Mattel, and together they have hosted a web series ”UNHhhh” for Youtube and The Trixie and Katya show on Viceland.
Those that want to achieve Katya’s look can do so by getting their hands on her glam collection released in collaboration with Trixie Cosmetics. The collection called “Red Scare” was made available in 2020, which includes red lipsticks and lip gloss, a staple in Katya’s look. There is also a temporary tattoo pack inspired by the tattoos she sports in real life.
Bob the Drag Queen – Age 36
Christopher Caldwell started his drag career when he derailed his original plans of becoming an actor and comedian in 2009. He was inspired from his early childhood as his mother owned a drag bar and would often take her son on nights there was no other care available. Bob, the Drag Queen, became his official drag name in 2013.
Caldwell often styles his hair in black women’s hairdos like afros when he is dressed up as Bob. The LGBTQIA+ activist also sports heavy eyelashes and cat-eye eyeliner as a part of his look. He mentions being inspired by Peppermint, Bianca Del Rio, and BeBe Zahara Benet.
Violet Chachki – Age 30
After winning Season 7 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, Violet Chachki (real name Paul Dardo) went on to establish themselves as a content creator and recording artist. She became famous for her burlesque talent and even joined Dita Von Teese’s show in 2017.
Chachki established herself as a prominent drag queen and as a rising fashion icon when she was invited to attend the Met Ball in 2019 by Moschino. Her style is “vintage glamour,” and she cites Christian Dior, Thierry Mugler, and John Galliano as her inspirations. She also uses a lot of latex, leather, and tight corsets when dressing up.
Boy George – Age 60
While on “The One Show” in June 2021, Boy George shared that he’s more confident entering his 60s than when he was 18. The pop icon even celebrated his 60th birthday by releasing a song titled “Drive.” Earlier that year, he also came out with the album “Cool Karaoke, Vol.1.”
Boy George, who performed at the 2021 NYC Pride, rose to fame in the early ’80s as the frontman of the Culture Club, which is behind the hit tune “Karma Chameleon.” The English singer-songwriter has since delved into photography, fashion designing, and record producing.
Nicki Minaj – Age 38
One hardly needs an introduction to Nicki Minaj, especially considering she is one of the most popular rappers and singers of this day and age. As of today, the 38-year-old Anaconda singer, and new mom, has four studio albums under her belt although, her singles pass a whopping one hundred.
If you take a long and hard look at the two photos, you can tell the significance of her transformation. Surprisingly, Minaj continues to deny allegations about her ever having had any work done on her face. It’s hard to believe, but kudos to her for making a career out of her jaw-dropping curves.
