A Mocking Note

Another of Russell’s neighbors stumbled upon a note left by Russell for the porch pirate he had targeted. The message began with a friendly greeting, “Hello, you’re on camera,” followed by a not-so-subtle threat, “You, thief, just been smacked in the face with a wet fish.” The neighbor finally understood Russell’s plan, which involved luring package thieves with cat excrement.

Both Russell and his neighbor had had enough of the package-stealing culprits in their neighborhood. But the neighbor was not only tired of their presence but also of the increasing amount of litter on the streets. He figured there had to be a better way.
