Another Honored Veteran
Johnny Cash, the legendary musician known for his distinct voice and iconic hits like “Ring of Fire” and “A Boy Named Sue,” may have also been able to fend off porch pirates with his military background. Cash sold over 90 million records worldwide, a feat achieved by only a select few.
Before launching his successful career in entertainment, he spent time worked as a radio announcer and salesman before joining the United States Air Force before the start of the Korean War. During his four years of service, he intercepted and deciphered Morse code from Russia and was honored for his contributions to the military.
