Doria Ragland had worked as a makeup artist soon after she passed high school, and that was how she met Thomas Markle, a lighting director, on the sets of the show “General Hospital.” The couple had a daughter named Meghan in 1981, who became the Duchess of Sussex following her marriage to Prince Harry.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Meghan always wanted to become an actress. She jump-started her career when she was only in the university. Her breakthrough, however, came with the portrayal of Rachel Zane in the 2011 drama “Suits.” However, that was all left behind her when she assumed royal duties in 2018.
