A long time ago Stefano Gabbana made some really strong statements: “I don’t want to be called gay, for the fact that I’m simply a boy… and period,” said the 58-year-old in an interview with Corriere della Sera. “The word gay was developed by those who need to identify individuals and I don’t want to be recognized by my sexual options,” he said. Gabbana introduced the high-end style brand in 1984 with her partner Domenico Dolce, and although they split in 2004, the pair continue to collaborate.
