Roy Hudd – Unknown
The younger generations may not know who Roy Hudd is, but he was very big in comedy. He was famous for presenting The News Huddlines on BBC Radio 2 for over two decades and for playing Archie Shuttleworth in the long-running soap opera Coronation Street.
Hudd, who was last seen in the show Casualty in 2019, departed this world in March 2020 in his sleep while beside his wife. It came after the comic genius, often described as a generous funnyman, battled an unspecified illness. His friends in the industry paid tribute after his death, with Sandi Toksvig calling him the ‘nicest person.’
