The legendary Janis Joplin at Rhode Island in 1968

This picture taken by Elliott Landy is of the great singer with mezzo-soprano vocals, Janis Joplin, and it is as beautiful as the singer can be portrayed. Here she’s seen singing with the band Big Brother and the Holding Company while carrying her incredible fashion sense.

As can be seen, Joplin used to get so involved in her music, whether performing live or in a studio. Once when she was asked how she’s so good at blues, she went on to say that anyone can sing the blues, and surely Joplin did make it look that easy.
