James David Vance is an American author, venture capitalist, and politician. He gained national recognition with his 2016 memoir, “Hillbilly Elegy,” which delves into his upbringing in a working-class family. The memoir’s success led to a Netflix adaptation in 2020, boosting his net worth to $10 million. His real estate investments are collectively valued at around $2.65 million.

James also served in the Marine, graduated from Ohio State University, and earned a law degree from Yale Law School. In 2022, he was elected as a U.S. Senator from Ohio, and in 2024, he became the first millennial Vice President of the United States alongside President Donald Trump.
