Although Alisson Becker’s signing with Liverpool in 2018 was undoubtedly a high point in the player’s career, it opened up a different can of worms. For starters, the Brazilian could hardly speak English, and secondly, he needed a place to stay.

With his shiny new £42.9-million six-year contract burning a hole in his pocket, Becker went on a shopping spree before setting his crosshairs on a two-story five-bedroom home in Woolton. According to Liverpoolecho, the residence would have cost him an estimated £900k. Becker recently became the first goalkeeper in Liverpool’s history to score a goal from a header at stoppage time to steer his team towards a victory.
