David De Gea – Cheshire, £3.85 million

When David De Gea decided to move out of his rented Cheshire mansion in 2018, social media platforms blew up with rumors of a career move. The Spanish footballer had been linked with a potential move to Real Madrid for many years.

As it turned out, however, the landlord had decided to put the 1.5-acre two-bedroom home up for sale, and De Gea proceeded to stay at Manchester United and has made 367 appearances with the team to date. De Gea also recently penned his contract extension with Man United, which will keep him at the club up until at least June 2023.
