Occupied!
Just like any other continent, Antarctica has seasons, and they can be quite extreme. But despite the treacherous conditions, it is occupied all year round. There is plenty of science and research that needs to happen, and you can’t stop just because things get a little rough!
Generally, the continent has about four thousand people during the summer months, but that figure drops to about a thousand when winter hits. Do we wonder what kind of human it takes to make it through the Antarctic winter? Those guys and girls must be adamant indeed!
