Joan Sims was a staple in the ‘Carry On’ films, even featuring in twenty-four of them in two decades; the last one was ‘Carry On Emmannuelle’ in 1978. Super talented as an actress, she has portrayed various characters, both on television and in movies such as ‘Doctor in Love’ and ‘The Canterville Ghost.’
Besides receiving praise for her acting, Joan had the audience spellbound with her stunning beauty. From her perfectly arched brows, piercing eyes to her short hair and glowing skin, everything about the lady conveyed an understated elegance that many found alluring. Sadly, several health complications led to her demise in 2001, and we lost a shining star.
