Not all palace insiders seem to have it out for Markle, though. Former royal protection officer Simon Morgan, who now runs Trojan Consultancy, his own security firm, talked about the backlash she faced after her walkabout at a Fiji market was cut short due to security issues. It happened during a 2018 Commonwealth tour.
Knowing how chaotic it can get behind the scenes, he said there’s a possibility that something might have happened that the press and the public weren’t made privy to. Although Morgan wasn’t there to witness the incident, he reiterated that Markle’s safety would have been the priority that day.
