The Markle Family Feud
The same can’t be said for the Markle family, though, who are still in the middle of a bitter feud. The Duchess of Sussex rarely addresses the controversies that her father, Thomas Markle, and half-sister, Samantha Markle, have gotten into since she married into the royal family. She finally broke her silence during her conversation with Winfrey.
Markle said that she felt betrayed by her father’s decision to stage pictures for paparazzi in exchange for payment. Although it pained her to use the word “betrayal” to describe what Thomas did, it’s what he did when he also sent Daily Mail an edited version of a private letter she sent him.
