Although The Firm has yet to comment on Markle’s claims that Archie was denied a title, a royal source told Us Weekly that the Palace denies the accusations. The unnamed source explained that the boy is simply not yet eligible to become a prince due to a protocol created by King George V.
With that said, he would become Prince Archie once his grandfather Prince Charles, who is first in line to the throne, ascends to become king. His would-be sister would be a princess then. This would be the expected scenario unless the Prince of Wales, who’s reportedly at odds with Prince Harry, changes the title rules.
