Unsatisfying Truth
The principal had just informed Tony that his daughter’s supposed dress code violation had nothing to do with modesty. It was that the outfit’s inappropriateness had everything to do with its length. While stammering, the admin said the attire he had brought didn’t meet or pass the “fingertip test.”
Tony didn’t buy that narrative. It was expected of him, anyway! He pointed out that girls in Demetra’s class had similar or worse outfits than hers. While dropping her off, he saw them in the parking lot. He knew the principal’s response wasn’t the actual reason.
