On arrival, an administrator approached her immediately. Her meticulous preparation didn’t stop Ann Duncan, one of the organizers, from blocking her at the door. To her, Clare’s outfit was too short, so she couldn’t go in. Unfazed and confident in her elegant attire, Clare shot back, “What is the rule?”

Mrs. Duncan’s response was “fingertip length,” as she expected. She defended her seemingly short outfit’s length, saying that it was due to her tall and curvy long legs. The admin would hear none of it, saying the getup was too short. To her, it failed the test.
