Neale Daniher, 60
Being inducted into the Essendon Football Club’s prestigious hall of fame was probably one of the best gifts that the Australian Football League (AFL) player could have gotten. Neale Daniher comes from a soccer family with his elder brother playing a season before he made his debut. His younger brothers joined several years later, and the quartet played in a league together in 1990.
The now-retired Daniher was once a coach but now spends most of his time creating awareness on nerve health as well as engaging in charity work. The hefty donations that the legend makes both materially and financially have made him a local hero to his community. This is an incredible legacy for Neale Daniher.
