Keir Starmer is the current Leader of the Opposition, having assumed the job in 2020. A barrister by profession, he’s currently worth $5.7 million and reportedly owns a home valued at $2.5 million. This good fortune contrasts his humble origins as the son of a factory worker and a nurse.
This meant that he also began working at a factory at a young age until he went off to university and began studying law. Safe to say, his story made Starmer an excellent choice in leading the Labour Party, which he has been doing since 2020.
