Driving Toward Independence

The Hensel twins’ reality show captured a significant moment in their lives as they learned to drive. It was an important step toward independence. Abby and Brittany had to coordinate flawlessly, with Abby controlling the right side of the steering wheel and Brittany managing the left.

To comply with state law, both had to pass the written and practical driving tests individually and earn separate licenses. At 16, they successfully passed and celebrated this milestone. Gaining their licenses marked a new chapter in their lives, freeing them from relying on others for transportation and giving them the autonomy they had long desired.
