Peter Jackson – $500 Million
New Zealand’s Peter Jackson has been a filmmaker since the ’70. The man who directed the Lord of the Rings trilogy may have hit it big with the J.R.R. Tolkien classic, but he got his start much earlier. He has certainly come a long way since early horrors like Bad Taste and Braindead.
These days, Jackson is worth an estimated $500M. His LOTR work earned him $180M while grossing $6B at the box office when including The Hobbit. In 2020, the passionate King Kong fan granted the rights to his documentary The Beatles: Get It Back to Walt Disney, and we can’t wait for the August 2021 release.
