No One to Turn To

At this point, Keely doubted everyone around her, including herself. She had an inkling that despite multiple negative pregnancy tests, there was still a chance she had a baby on the way. Maybe the doctor was just wrong or didn’t examine her well enough. At this rate, there could be a thousand possibilities until the right diagnosis is given.

First, there was the most obvious sign, which was Keely’s burgeoning belly. If she was pregnant, perhaps everything will go back to how it was once the little one arrives. But months and years passed by with no distinct change until she got into a medical emergency at work one day.
