When Max Baer Jr. began his acting career in 1960, little did he know that two years later, he’d be part of a sitcom that would change his life forever. The role that got him the kudos and thrust him into the limelight was of the ignorant lad Jethro Bodine who would forever be in search of a job in ‘The Beverly Hillbillies.’
Contrary to the character he played, Max was intelligent and enterprising. Once the show ended in 1971, he appeared in a few other television shows such as ‘Mu***r, She Wrote’ and ‘Matt Houston’ before quitting the profession in 1991. He has been focusing on his business ventures ever since.
